Overview

Premier Health’s Sports Medicine Symposium intended for the credentialed healthcare and/or wellness provider and is focused on presenting the medical professional with new information that may not be currently used in their practice in order to improve patient care and outcomes. 

 

This year’s symposium will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 12 and 13, 2026. Both sessions will be held on the University of Dayton campus at Fitz Hall.  There will be up to 10.5 CEU’s being offered depending on which certification. 


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the use of orthotics in a sports rehab setting
  2. Understand the implications and benefits of musculoskeletal ultrasound
  3. Explain cartilage restoration and its role in a rehab setting
  4. Explain the best evidence-based research regarding lumbar disc herniations and its impact in an athletic population
  5. Understand thoracic outlet syndrome and how to treat it in an athletic population
  6. Perform and understand the implications of the nervous system in upper extremity throwers
  7. Define Adolescent Athlete Cardiotoxicity
  8. Implement communication strategies with athletes and coaches to enhance their rehabilitation back to sport

Registration

Participants must register via CloudCME. This educational event is being offered for $50 to Premier Health employees and $125 to non-Premier Health employees for 10.5 CEU hours for ATs (including NSCA), PT/PTAs and OT/COTAs. Registration reservations must be received by June 1 for this rate. An additional late processing fee will be added for registrations from June 2-8. No registrations will be accepted after June 8.


Accreditation

This course is for athletic trainers, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistants. Athletic Training, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy CEUs are pending for 10.5 hours through BOC, OPTA and OTPTAT boards.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation fees: All cancellations must be submitted in writing and received by June 1, 2026, for a full refund. 50% refund will be given if written notice is received between June 2 and June 8, 2026.  No refund will be given if written cancellation is not received by June 9, 2026.  Cancellations can be emailed to Amy Anders at [email protected].
