The COAT Prescription Branch Substance Use Disorder Provider Summit: Inspiring Pathways to Recovery offers a robust platform for healthcare providers and community leaders to deepen their understanding of the complexities of substance use disorder (SUD). Attendees will explore the economic and societal impact of addiction recovery and gain practical skills to support patients in their recovery journey. This event will feature a series of expert presentations, panel discussions, and personal stories, ensuring participants leave with actionable strategies and renewed motivation to champion recovery within their practices. Key sessions include: Recognizing Signs of Problematic Substance Use/Misuse Equip yourself with the knowledge to identify early signs of substance misuse and develop a proactive approach to intervention. Community Resources and Connections Learn about the vital community resources and networks that support individuals in recovery, and how to integrate them into your practice. Stories of Hope Be inspired by individuals in long-term recovery who share their personal stories of overcoming addiction, offering hope and insight into the recovery process. This summit will feature expert speakers, panel discussions, and interactive workshops aimed at enhancing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and promoting effective interventions in SUD care. Join us as we inspire pathways to recovery and empower healthcare providers to make a meaningful impact in their communities.

1. To enhance healthcare providers' understanding of the economic and societal impacts of sobriety and recovery, focusing on reducing costs on hospital and legal systems.
2. To increase awareness and support for grassroots organizations in SUD treatment and recovery, highlighting their role in community connections and resource provision.
3. To equip healthcare professionals with practical skills to recognize subtle signs of long-term benzodiazepine use in older patients, and implement standardized screening processes to improve early identification and referral for treatment.
