Overview
This is the hands-on portion of the Heat Illnesses & Sports Equipment Removal.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Be familiar with the modalities involved with CWI
  2. Recognize CWI as the gold standard for treatment of EHS in the athletic population
  3. Recognize the signs & symptoms of cervical spine injury
  4. Demonstrate proper technique with equipment removal
  5. Demonstrate proper SMR and transport of patient via EMS
