Overview

This course is intended to help PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and ATs gain and improve their vestibular diagnostic and treatment skills using best level evidence. This course is designed for beginners to intermediate level vestibular clinicians. It is intended for providers with a baseline vestibular knowledge who would like to expand their skill set. It will cover useful skills in the evaluation and treatment of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, unilateral vestibulopathy, central dizziness, and post-concussion syndrome. The course will include lecture and hands-on lab components, allowing the participants to return to the clinic and start treating vestibular patients.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the anatomy and pathoanatomic causes of vestibular dysfunction.
  2. Perform an accurate and precise oculomotor examination.
  3. Understand peripheral vestibular dysfunction and treatment pathways.
  4. Demonstrate understanding of the diagnostic criteria and be able to demonstrate appropriate positional testing for the management of individuals with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
  5. State and identify vestibular signs and objective data that indicate a central dysfunction, along with appropriate management strategies for their findings.
  6. Understand the Pathophysiology of a Concussion.
  7. Understand the Concussion Clinical Trajectory.
  8. Understand a thorough post-concussion Physical Therapy evaluation & perform a Visual Ocular Motor Screen.
  9. Understand post-concussive exercise progression and return to play protocol.

Registration

Participants must register via CloudCME. This educational event is being offered for $50 to Premier Health employees and $200 to non-Premier Health employees for 8 CEU hours for PT/PTAs and OT/OTAs. Registration space is limited to 60 participants and reservations must be received by October 31, 2025. 


Accreditation

8.0 CEU hours are pending for physical therapists through the OPTA. 8.0 CEU hours are pending for Occupational Therapists through the OTPTAT board of Ohio. 8.0 CEU hours are approved for Athletic Trainers through BOC.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be emailed in writing to Qasim Rizvi at [email protected]. Cancellations prior to 4 weeks will receive 100% refund. Cancellations prior to 2 weeks then 50% refund. No refunds within 2 weeks of course date.
